A fantastic community effort

On Saturday 14th July twenty four adults and three children put in a fantastic morning’s work at the Bryan Way foredune, Envirofund project site. We planted 500 local native seedlings and carried water, bucketed out of wheelie bins, up and down the steep dune. The sun shone and it was a glorious, still July morning.

Angela, Hannes, Maika and Linea (pictured) are visiting from Germany and were happy to lend a hand on the beautiful winter morning. William, a Hale student (also pictured) gave up his Saturday morning to assist the work of Cottesloe Coastcare, for his voluntary community commitment as part of his studies.

‘Daisies Deli’ on Grant Street Cottesloe, donated our morning tea of the most delicious freshly baked muffins. A big thanks to Ken at Daisies and to everyone else who worked so hard to make the working bee such a success.
